MARS Healthcare are currently working with an innovative Youth Services organisation who are seeking a passionate individual to work within their team as a Youth Mental Health Clinician.

As an integral member of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, this clinician will play a vital part in the development and delivery of high-quality, early intervention services for young people, their families, and carers. About the Role:

  • Collaborate closely with the Clinical Lead to deliver youth-friendly mental health services.
  • Manage intakes of young people, community members, and professionals seeking assistance.
  • Conduct initial screening assessments with young people and their families to determine whether an external or internal referral is required.
  • Utilise approved tools for psycho-social assessments to assess client suitability for ongoing services.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, to young people and their families.
  • Develop case formulations and care plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Offer case coordination to ensure a seamless transition for referrals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes and records in the approved database system.
  • Actively participate in regular clinical case review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure the appropriate clinical service pathways and service delivery.

  • Competitive Salary of $82k - $86k + super + salary packaging (pro rata)
  • 0.6FTE 3 days Tuesday - Thursday/ OR 4 days available - additional day from Midland site 0.8FTE

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor tertiary level qualifications in relevant clinical field (Psychology, Social work, Occupational therapy, counselling or Mental Health).
  • Current membership and/or registration with an appropriate professional regulatory body.
  • Possess a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one within six months of validity.
  • Demonstrated experience in youth service intake.
  • Minimum of three years' experience working in a tier 2/3 youth mental health environment,
  • Ability to engage work with and coordinate care for young people aged 12 to 25 years in areas of mental health and substance use intervention.
  • Well-developed knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, government policies and strategic directions in relation to mental health and alcohol and other drug disorders, particularly as it relates to young people.
  • Commitment to supporting clinical research within the service
