Lorna founded MARS on her desire to combine her commercial acumen and natural aptitude for people building, backed by her success working within global recruitment firms, to make what MARS is today.

She is a true leader in her field with her down to earth approach and commitment to deeply understanding the changing needs of the market, using them to shape the company’s approach, which has been pivotal to MARS’ success.

Attracting some of the best talent in the market, MARS has continually grown from strength to strength under her leadership and guidance.

Alongside Lorna, Marcus created and shaped MARS with the vision of a forward-thinking recruitment agency and a philosophy based on long term relationships and repeat business through excellent service. Marcus is an Owner and Director of MARS with over 23 years’ recruitment experience spanning across the UK and Australia.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Law from Aberdeen University in Scotland, Marcus commenced his recruitment career in London prior to emigrating to Australia and has been active in the Sydney market for the past 20 years. His success is underpinned by his passion for sales and relationship building – these values are how we operate and are the foundations on how our business has been built.

Marcus is a huge advocate for sustainable living and animal rights, as well as being a proud father to Bongo – his English Staffy.

Dean is a proud Melbournian, loyal Carlton supporter and co-founder of our Melbourne business. Graduating from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Social Science, Dean has recruited in Accounting, Finance and executive-level roles in the Melbourne market for more than 17 years.

Dean believes that each and every client should receive the same standard of service regardless of their size, shape or turnover and is extremely passionate about delivering personalised recruitment solutions to best enable this mantra.

Dean has grown our Melbourne office through his dedication to the cause – building a team with our same outlook – Aligning Talent with Opportunity.

Alli joined MARS at our time of inception in 2008 and has been an integral part of our Perth offices’ growth and success as Associate Director, while also focusing on Accounting & Finance Recruitment within the commercial markets.

Alli is a local to Perth, completing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Australia. She went on to spend some of her working career in the UK but returned to Perth to focus on delivering successful hiring outcomes.

Having also spent some time in between to raise her young family, Alli also enjoys most competitive sports; continuing to favour the Eagles!

Luke is the paradigm of MARS and has been with the Melbourne business since we opened in 2015, leading the Finance function, looking after Contract, Fixed Term and Permanent recruitment as Associate Director.

Luke carries over 15 years of Finance Recruitment experience in Melbourne and Amsterdam.

Luke prides himself on his ability to listen and deliver for his clients and to provide his candidates with roles that will allow them to have a true career.

Excitingly, Luke’s passions are his family and his 2 young boys, travelling and sports.

Ceri leads our Healthcare Division at MARS, overseeing our Healthcare recruitment teams across Australia who specialise in Allied Health, Nursing, Doctors and Social Care.​

Joining MARS is 2017 and holding a Master’s degree in Law from Sheffield Hallam and Sheffield University in the UK, Ceri developed over 16 years’ recruitment experience working for global recruitment firms in the UK and the last 10 in Australia.

Her focus is on building and developing high-performing teams who support the Healthcare industry in Australia. Ceri is well-versed and experienced in managing large recruitment teams, managing complex recruitment processes, and recruiting herself into public and private sector healthcare organisations across the country.

When not at work, Ceri is kept busy with her young family, including her lunatic Labradoodle, Ruby.

Ivor leads our Sydney business and comes with over 17 years of experience in Executive Search and Recruitment across the UK and Australia. He oversees recruitment teams across Sales & Marketing, Digital, Technology, Insurance, Business Support, Accounting & Finance, Banking Operations and Audit, Risk & Compliance.

Ivor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and comes with broad sector experience having recruited across Financial Services, FMCG, Retail, Industrial, Education and Not-For-Profit with a particular focus in senior marketing, digital and sales placements. An Australian Institute of Marketing panel member and a regular contributor to industry publications.

What sets Ivor apart are his unwavering commitment to two core values: ‘doing the right thing’ and delivering an ‘exceptional customer experience’. These principles underpin every engagement, ensuring that each client and candidate enjoys a truly outstanding experience.

Zoya has been instrumental in the operational build of the MARS brand, joining at our inception, and playing a vital part of our leadership team for the last 14 years.

She is behind our operational needs, delivering the most advanced technology, developing business processes, guiding the administration team, as well as aiding our Directors with their vision. She prides herself on her ability to centre her support on the best outcomes for the business and knowing how to get things done.

Zoya most enjoys spending time with her daughter – when she’s not solving Marcus’s inability to join a Zoom call!
