Senior/Principal Rehabilitation Consultant (Occupational Therapist) - Newcastle
$95,000 - $110,000 + Super | Strong Support & Flexibility


Are you a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist with previous experience as a Rehabilitation Consultant looking to step into a senior role in Occupational Rehab? We're working with an organisation in Newcastle that truly values their people and is offering a brand new opportunity to join their growing team as a Senior or Principal Rehabilitation Consultant.



Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of workplace rehabilitation cases (physical and psychological)
  • Conduct initial needs assessments, workplace assessments, and case conferences
  • Develop, implement, and monitor return-to-work plans
  • Liaise with employers, insurers, doctors, and other stakeholders to support recovery and return to work
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team leadership as a senior/principal team member
  • Provide clinical reasoning and case strategy input at team meetings
  • Contribute to quality improvement and innovation projects


What You'll Need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in occupational rehab or a related setting
  • Previous experience managing CTP, Injury Management or Workers Comp
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence in report writing and stakeholder engagement
  • Drivers licence and access to a car for travel (reimbursed)
