Mars Recruitment is currently representing a well-established, community-focused mental health organisation in Geraldton, WA, in their search for a Psychosocial Support Worker.
The role involves providing non-clinical, person-centred support to clients living with severe mental illness, including those with coexisting disabilities or complex needs. You'll assist clients in achieving daily living goals, building community connections, and supporting access to services such as the NDIS, using Recovery Action Plans.
This outreach-focused role offers autonomy, flexibility, and professional development, while making a meaningful impact on the lives of people in the community.
Conduct needs assessments and develop Recovery Action Plans with risk and safety considerations.
Provide one-to-one outreach support to enhance daily living, community access, and inclusion.
Assist clients with NDIS applications and connect them to other services.
Maintain accurate client records using Lumary client management system.
Collaborate with clients, families, carers, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated support.
Qualification in mental health, community disability, or welfare sector (Certificate IV minimum).
Minimum 1 year experience in mental health outreach or psychosocial support.
Knowledge of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and client-centred practices.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and case management skills.
Ability to work autonomously and travel within Geraldton and surrounding areas.
Valid driver's licence, National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Desirable: Experience in clinical/welfare services, ongoing risk assessments, and NDIS processes.
Relocation & regional support: $10,000 relocation allowance + $6,000 regional allowance.
