Pharmacy Assistant - Brisbane
📍 Onsite role - Brisbane (not remote)
💰 $45-$50 per hour
📅 January - June 2026

We're currently recruiting an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join a fast-paced, high-volume government health contact center supporting Australia's veteran community.

About the role
In this position, you'll play a key role in providing advice and approvals relating to medication funding, working closely with healthcare providers and internal stakeholders. You'll be part of a collaborative team operating in a 24/7, 365-day environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responding to high-volume enquiries via the RPBS Authority Line
• Providing accurate and timely pharmaceutical advice
• Applying established policies and procedures to medication funding requests
• Liaising with healthcare professionals and the veteran community
• Completing administrative tasks including data entry and record management
• Participating in training, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives

About you
We're looking for someone who brings:

• Certificate III in Community Pharmacy (or equivalent) - mandatory
• 1-3 years of experience as a Dispensary Technician (community or hospital pharmacy preferred)
• Strong understanding of the PBS
• Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Australian Citizenship required
• Solid Microsoft Office capability
• Contact center or 24/7 operations experience (highly regarded)
