MARS Healthcare are partnering with a highly respected community-based mental health provider seeking experienced clinicians to join a specialist suicide prevention service in Rockingham. This is an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred, recovery-focused support to individuals at some of the most critical points in their mental health journey.

The Opportunity

Based from the organisation's dedicated Rockingham facility, you will work alongside a collaborative team of mental health professionals delivering specialist suicide prevention and mental health support to the local community. This role provides the opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships while being part of a service that has a genuine and lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals and their families.


Working within a dedicated suicide prevention program, you will provide evidence-informed, trauma-informed therapeutic support to individuals aged 17 years and above who are experiencing suicidal ideation, emotional distress, and complex mental health presentations. You will play a key role in helping clients build safety, resilience, connection, and hope through collaborative intervention and ongoing support.


This role offers a unique balance of clinical work, multidisciplinary collaboration, and community impact, allowing clinicians to see the tangible difference they make every day while supporting people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions within your professional scope of practice.
  • Provide therapeutic support and mental health interventions to clients aged 17 years and above.
  • Support individuals experiencing suicidal crisis and significant mental health challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and review collaborative care and safety plans.
  • Undertake ongoing risk assessment and management in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, case notes, and outcome measures.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, client-centred care.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be one of the following:

  • Registered Psychologist (Provisional also considered)
  • Mental Health Counsellor
  • Mental Health Social Worker
  • Mental Health Occupational Therapist
  • Other suitably qualified Mental Health Professional


You will also demonstrate:

  • Experience working within mental health, crisis intervention, community mental health, suicide prevention, or related settings.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice.
  • Confidence conducting risk assessments, safety planning, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical documentation, report writing, and case management skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges and suicidal distress.
