$60-$65 per hour + casual loading + super + shift penalties

The Role

As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll work within a telephone-based clinical team providing intake, assessment, and triage services. You'll deliver immediate, trauma-informed mental health support and make appropriate referrals to specialist and crisis care services.

This position operates in a 24/7 rostered environment, with flexibility to work a mix of office and home-based shifts. You'll be supported with professional development opportunities, funded clinical supervision, and a collaborative team culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality intake, risk assessment, crisis intervention and brief counselling.
  • Deliver evidence-based individual, couple, and family interventions.
  • Coordinate care with families, other providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in line with policy and standards.
  • Contribute to team meetings, case reviews, and continuous improvement.


About You
You're a qualified and registered mental health professional with experience in intake, triage, and brief interventions in a fast-paced environment. You bring strong communication skills, sound judgement in high-pressure situations, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.


Essential Requirements:

  • Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, OR Counsellor with PACFA/ACA (Level 3/4) clinical counselling registration.
  • Capacity to obtain Working with Children/Vulnerable People checks.
  • Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain Security Clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health settings, ideally including telephone-based service delivery.
  • Experience working with DVA clients or a personal connection to ADF personnel
  • Located near Brisbane- not a remote opportunity
