Social Worker Locum - Regional NT

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker for a short-term locum contract, supporting patients across acute hospital services.

This is a great opportunity for a confident clinician looking for a well-supported regional hospital contract, with accommodation and travel covered.

The Role
You will work across the acute hospital setting, providing clinical Social Work assessment, intervention and discharge support.

A significant component of the caseload involves Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) presentations, including both adults and children.

Responsibilities will include:

• Psychosocial and risk assessments
• Safety planning and crisis intervention
• Supporting adult and child DFSV presentations
• Coordinating appropriate hospital and community responses
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external services
• Discharge planning, referrals and ongoing support
• Providing high-quality Social Work intervention across acute services

• $75-$85 per hour + super, depending on experience

Essential Requirements

• Recognised Social Work qualification eligible for AASW membership
• Previous clinical Social Work experience
• Confidence working within an acute hospital environment
• Strong communication, assessment and crisis intervention skills
• DFSV, family violence and/or crisis response experience highly desirable
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
• Australian Working Rights- Working Holiday Visa's Welcome
