Senior Instrument Technician (Grade 4 or 5) - CSSD

Looking for a senior CSSD contract where you can step into a leadership role, earn strong hourly rates and enjoy regional VIC with accommodation included? This is a great short-term opportunity for an experienced Grade 4 or 5 Instrument Technician ready to work autonomously and support a wider team.

The role
You'll be working across all areas of CSSD, responsible for the full reprocessing cycle of reusable medical instruments to support safe patient care. This is a senior role with autonomy and accountability, including providing guidance and supervision to junior technicians and contributing to quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• End-to-end reprocessing of reusable medical devices
• Working independently across decontamination, assembly and sterilisation
• Ensuring compliance with AS 5369 and infection control standards
• Supervising and supporting junior Instrument Technicians
• Assisting with audits, quality improvement and documentation
• Liaising with perioperative and clinical teams

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Health - Sterilising Practice
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Instrument Technician
• Ability to work autonomously across CSSD
• Strong understanding of sterilisation standards and compliance
• Confident communication and leadership skills
