Mars Healthcare is proud to be partnering with a leading not-for-profit organisation to recruit an experienced Mental Health Clinician for an exciting 3-month FIFO opportunity supporting young people in Geraldton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinician looking for a short-term contract while making a genuine impact within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team. Working with young people aged 12-25, you'll provide evidence-based mental health care to those experiencing moderate to severe and complex mental health presentations.

The Opportunity

As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll manage a varied caseload of young people experiencing complex mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, psychosis, personality disorders, eating disorders and other severe presentations.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you'll deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions while supporting young people and their families through a recovery-oriented model of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of young people aged 12-25 with moderate to severe mental health presentations
  • Completing comprehensive psychosocial and mental health assessments, risk assessments and treatment planning
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and ongoing case management
  • Developing collaborative recovery plans with young people and their support networks
  • Providing crisis intervention and assertive outreach where required
  • Working closely with psychiatrists, GPs, allied health professionals and community stakeholders
  • Participating in multidisciplinary case reviews, clinical supervision and service development
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and case notes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration or AASW membership
  • Experience working with young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health presentations
  • Strong skills in assessment, risk management, case formulation and evidence-based interventions
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary mental health services
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and their families
