MARS Healthcare Recruitment is partnering with a leading regional health service to recruit experienced Community Mental Health Clinicians to join a supportive multidisciplinary team based in Wonthaggi, Victoria.

The Opportunity

As a Community Mental Health Clinician, you'll provide specialist assessment, treatment and care coordination to adults experiencing acute and complex mental health needs within the community.

Working within an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll support consumers, families and carers through every stage of their recovery journey, delivering evidence-based interventions within a trauma-informed and culturally safe framework.

This role offers the variety and autonomy of community mental health while providing the support of a well-established regional health service.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive mental health assessments, including urgent and routine presentations
• Develop recovery-oriented treatment plans and safety plans
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and ongoing care coordination
• Deliver individual, family and group-based interventions where appropriate
• Work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with relevant legislation and standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, clinical supervision and quality improvement initiatives

About You

We'd love to hear from clinicians who have:

• Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist with AHPRA, or Social Worker eligible for AASW membership
• A minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience within mental health
• Experience conducting mental health assessments and managing complex presentations
• A recovery-focused, trauma-informed and person-centred approach to care
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Experience or knowledge of AOD, family violence frameworks (MARAM, FVISS, CISS) or broader Victorian Mental Health reforms will be highly regarded but is not essential.
