We are seeking experienced and motivated Mental Health Nurses for Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) opportunities within a correctional health setting in the Mid North Coast region of NSW.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced mental health assessment, care coordination and clinical leadership, supporting positive patient outcomes while managing complex mental health presentations.

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing advanced mental health assessment, triage and clinical management of complex presentations
Undertaking comprehensive mental health and risk assessments
Developing and reviewing individualised mental health care plans
Coordinating patient care, case management, referrals and follow-up
Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and relevant stakeholders
Providing clinical leadership and support to nursing colleagues
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation
Contributing to clinical quality improvement initiatives
Working in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and correctional health security requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Relevant mental health nursing qualifications and/or substantial mental health nursing experience
Demonstrated capability at a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 level
Experience managing complex mental health presentations
Strong clinical assessment, risk management and care coordination skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care
The ability to meet relevant correctional health security clearance requirements
Previous experience in correctional health, forensic mental health or a secure clinical environment will be highly regarded.
$70+ per hour plus penalties and benefits
