Join a highly regarded, specialist service providing crisis response and ongoing therapeutic support to individuals impacted by sexual assault. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in delivering compassionate, trauma-informed care across both child and adult cohorts.

The Roles
Child Sexual Assault Counsellor (3-4 months | ASAP start)

  • Provide specialised, trauma-informed counselling to children and young people
  • Support families and carers through therapeutic engagement and education
  • Contribute to crisis response, risk assessment, and safety planning
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
  • Participate in case reviews and service delivery improvements

Adult Sexual Assault Counsellor (May-December 2026)

  • Deliver trauma-informed counselling to adult clients impacted by sexual assault
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing therapeutic support
  • Support clients through recovery using evidence-based approaches
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Engage with external services to ensure holistic care

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in counselling/mental health
  • Demonstrated experience working with trauma and sexual assault
  • Strong crisis intervention and risk assessment skills
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities
  • Relevant qualification (Social Work, Psychology or Counsellor) with relevant registration
  • Australian working rights - working holiday visa's welcome
