Account Executive | High-Growth SaaS Company

Seeking an Account Executive for a growing tech start-up based in Melbourne

Our client is a rapidly growing Australian SaaS business that is transforming the way organisations manage software spend, licensing, and technology investments. Backed by a strong leadership team and ambitious growth plans, they have established themselves as an innovative player within the SaaS management and optimisation space.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join their expanding sales team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven SaaS sales professional who thrives in a high-performance environment and wants to play a meaningful role in scaling a fast-growing technology company.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to one of the company's founders, you will take ownership of qualified sales opportunities, guiding prospects through the sales process from discovery to close. Working alongside an established business development function, your focus will be on converting high-quality opportunities into long-term customers.

As an early member of the commercial team, you will have the opportunity to influence sales processes, contribute to go-to-market strategy, and play a key role in the company's next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage qualified opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer challenges and business objectives.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and business cases.
  • Drive commercial negotiations and successfully close new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate forecasts.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present solutions to senior executives, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations tailored to customer requirements.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Navigate complex buying processes and multi-stakeholder sales environments.

Sales Excellence

  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to maximise conversion rates.
  • Continuously refine sales approaches and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable sales processes and best practices.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Proven experience in B2B SaaS sales.
  • A track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience engaging with senior business stakeholders.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to sales.
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
