Registered Midwife - MGP / Caseload Midwife

MARS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife for contract opportunities in Central Queensland. Provide continuity of care from pregnancy through birth and the postnatal period.

About the Role

• Provide antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care
• Undertake clinical assessment, foetal surveillance and escalation
• Participate in the MGP roster and agreed on-call arrangements

Requirements

• Antenatal, postnatal, labour and birth care, antenatal education and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation. MGP roster with stated 35% loading, subject to confirmed contract arrangements; 24/7 on-call roster with dedicated days off. Team of six midwives and a Maternity Unit Manager.
• Current relevant AHPRA registration; Australian work rights and required placement compliance.
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and teamwork skills appropriate to the role.

What's in it for you?

• $73 per hour basic rate for ordinary rostered hours; earnings up to $246 per hour on eligible shifts or overtime. The upper rate applies to qualifying hours, not every hour worked.
• Higher pay for weekday afternoons, weeknights, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Applicable penalties are reflected in the relevant enhanced hourly rate.
• Christmas Eve public holiday hours, 6:00 pm-midnight, paid at 250% where applicable.
• Overtime penalties for Monday-Saturday, Sundays and public holidays, under the agreed contract.
• Travel assistance and accommodation, subject to contract arrangements.
• Eligible on-call allowances for Monday-Friday and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
• Eligible overtime meal, laundry and broken shift allowances; qualification allowance of +3.5% of pay where applicable.
• Referral bonuses and contract completion bonuses, subject to eligibility and agreed terms.
• Compliance and onboarding support, plus a dedicated consultant throughout your placement.

Your dedicated consultant

We're seeking RN, RM, CN and CM contractors interested in building an ongoing working relationship with MARS Recruitment. You'll work with a direct consultant who oversees Queensland Nursing & Midwifery consultant for support throughout your placement and help planning future contracts around your availability, experience and preferences.
