Mars Healthcare is proud to be partnering with a leading not-for-profit organisation to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead for an exciting youth mental health service based in Geraldton.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where you'll have a genuine impact on the lives of young people aged 12-25 experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting a multidisciplinary clinical team, driving service excellence, and helping shape the future of youth mental health care within the region.

The Opportunity

As Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight across a multidisciplinary youth mental health team delivering evidence-based interventions to young people and their families.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will ensure high-quality service delivery, support clinicians through supervision and mentoring, and play a key role in managing complex presentations and clinical risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical leadership, supervision, and professional support to clinicians
  • Leading multidisciplinary case reviews and clinical discussions
  • Overseeing psychosocial assessments and intervention planning
  • Supporting young people experiencing complex mental health presentations
  • Managing referrals, intake processes, and clinical service delivery
  • Coordinating care alongside medical and mental health specialists
  • Driving quality improvement, clinical governance, and service development initiatives
  • Supporting workforce capability through mentoring, coaching, and professional development


About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration or AASW membership
  • Extensive experience working with young people experiencing mental health challenges
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, suicide prevention, family and domestic violence, trauma-informed care, and child protection
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for supporting young people and developing high-performing clinical teams
