Youth Mental Health | Residential or FIFO Opportunity | Fixed-Term Until August 2027
Mars Recruitment are currently partnering with a highly regarded not-for-profit mental health organisation to recruit a Mental Health Clinician for their Meekatharra team.
This organisation has been supporting young people across Western Australia for over 30 years, delivering community-focused mental health services that empower young people to thrive. With a strong reputation within the sector, they are passionate about delivering culturally safe, youth-friendly, and flexible mental health support to young people aged 12-25.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Service Manager and working collaboratively alongside Youth Engagement Officers and multidisciplinary clinicians, you will deliver therapeutic mental health support, counselling, group programs, education, intake, and care coordination services to young people within the Meekatharra region.
This role offers flexibility for either a residential or FIFO arrangement and can be considered on either a full-time or part-time basis for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering culturally safe, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions for young people aged 12-25
- Conducting intake, screening, psychosocial assessments, and risk assessments
- Providing case coordination and connecting young people with relevant community supports and services
- Delivering flexible outreach-based support, including individual and group sessions where appropriate
- Working collaboratively with families, schools, Aboriginal organisations, local agencies, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participating in regular clinical case reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Supporting mental health education, wellbeing initiatives, and community awareness activities
- Representing the organisation at local community events and stakeholder meetings
- Maintaining accurate case notes and electronic clinical records
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, or equivalent
- Current registration or membership with the relevant professional body
- Minimum 3 years' experience within youth mental health or related clinical settings
- Experience working with young people and families experiencing mental health challenges
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, risk assessment, and early intervention services
- Experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with an understanding of cultural safety and community engagement principles
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively within regional communities
- Experience using electronic clinical systems and databases
- Current Working With Children Check, National Police Clearance, and Driver's Licence
