🏡 Locum Occupational Therapist - Community & Home Based | Regional Victoria 🏡

Looking for a meaningful community-based OT role where you can truly make a difference while enjoying a relaxed regional lifestyle?

We're working with a highly supportive regional health service seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a 6-month fixed term contract within their Rural Allied Health Team. Accommodation is available, making this a fantastic opportunity for both experienced locums and clinicians looking to transition into regional community health work.

💰 $45 - $53 per hour + super

📅 6 month fixed term contract

In this role, you'll work with frail aged clients and people living with disability to maximise independence and safety at home through practical, client-centred interventions. The role is primarily community and home visit based with some clinic appointments.

You'll be joining a collaborative multidisciplinary Rural Allied Health Team delivering services across CHSP, HACC-PYP and limited NDIS funding streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Home safety and functional assessments
  • Home modifications and assistive technology prescription
  • Scooter and wheelchair assessments
  • Care planning and goal setting to support independent living
  • Working closely with carers, families and multidisciplinary clinicians
  • Supporting clients to remain active within their local community
  • Collaborating with Allied Health Assistants for therapy programs and equipment trials

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Community Occupational Therapy experience
  • Home visiting experience
  • Knowledge of Australian Building Standards
  • Experience with home modifications and equipment prescription
  • Familiarity with Geat2GO and SWEP
  • Strong care planning and independent caseload management skills
  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Current driver's licence
