Senior Rehabilitation Consultant

Occupational Rehabilitation | New Team Build | Established National Organisation | Perth Metro

Mars Healthcare Recruitment are partnering with a highly respected, well-established occupational rehabilitation organisation that's entering an exciting new growth phase.
They're building a brand-new specialist team and are looking for Senior Rehabilitation Consultants who want more than "just another caseload" - clinicians who enjoy leadership through influence, shaping best practice, and being part of something from the ground up, without the risk of joining a startup.
You'll be backed by a strong national brand, proven systems, structured onboarding, and full training - while still having the opportunity to innovate, mentor, and make your mark.

Why this role stands out

  • Be part of a newly formed, high-performing team within an already established organisation
  • Comprehensive onboarding and training - you won't be thrown in the deep end
  • Senior-level autonomy with real influence over service delivery
  • Diverse, complex caseloads with multiple stakeholders
  • A values-driven, energetic culture that genuinely supports growth
  • Clear KPIs, strong admin support, and professional standards done properly

The Role

As a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant, you'll manage complex cases end-to-end while contributing to the development of people, processes, and services. You'll balance outcomes, relationships, and quality - while helping shape how this new team operates.
Senior Consultants are expected to master and continually innovate across the following areas:

Core Competencies

  • Plan and coordinate injury recovery and rehabilitation for multiple clients in line with relevant legislation and schemes
  • Communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal) with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Collaborate, mentor, and support colleagues to strengthen team capability
  • Deliver strong outcomes for clients, stakeholders, and the organisation

Technical Competencies

  • Provide specialist advice to support health recovery and sustainable return-to-work outcomes
  • Build influential, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Conduct specialist assessments and deliver the organisation's core services

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing cases in line with agreed service levels
  • Applying legislative and scheme knowledge confidently
  • Producing clear, high-quality reports within required timeframes
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Participating in team meetings, training, file reviews, and claims reviews
  • Achieving agreed KPIs and quality benchmarks
  • Identifying barriers to recovery and developing SMART RTW goals
  • Implementing tailored strategies across multiple cases
  • Performing specialised assessments aligned to your qualifications (e.g. FCEs, ADLs, vocational, psychometric, treatment-based assessments)
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of services and assessments

About You

You're an experienced rehabilitation professional who enjoys complexity, accountability, and being part of a collaborative, high-energy environment.

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy
  • Provisional or Full registration (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC)
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in occupational rehabilitation, injury management, or case management
  • Current driver's licence (pool car available)

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Comcare accreditation
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing accreditation
  • Psychometric assessment accreditation (e.g. Hogan, SHL)

Culture & Values

This team is big on:

  • Collaboration and integrity
  • Being customer-centric
  • Driving results without burning people out
  • A work hard, play hard mindset
  • Adaptability, professionalism, and good energy
