I'm partnering with a global organisation in the automotive sector to recruit a Technical Trainer supporting a leading commercial vehicle brand across New Zealand (Auckland). This role is ideal for someone with a strong automotive background who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing others and delivering high quality technical training within a dealer network environment.

About the Role

As a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for both the delivery and development of technical training programs across the dealer network in New Zealand. You will act as a subject matter expert, working closely with instructional designers, training coordinators and key stakeholders to ensure training is engaging, up to date and aligned to evolving vehicle technologies.

This role combines hands on facilitation with continuous improvement of training content, ensuring technicians are equipped with the skills required to perform at a high level.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality technical training to the dealer network
  * Support the design and development of technical training programs and assessments
  * Provide subject matter expertise across vehicle products and systems
  * Collaborate with instructional designers and training coordinators
  * Continuously review and update training content to reflect new technologies
  * Support scheduling and delivery of training programs
  * Provide feedback from field experience to improve training outcomes
  * Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and dealer network

What You'll Need

• Automotive trade background (e.g. mechanic, auto electrician or similar)
  * Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain)
  * Experience delivering technical training or strong interest in moving into training
  * Strong communication and facilitation skills
  * Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels
  * Organised, proactive and adaptable approach
  * Passion for continuous learning and development
