Settlements Officer

Mars Recruitment is partnering with a growing lender in the mortgage and home lending industry who is hiring for a Settlements Officer. About the Role

As a Settlement Officer, you will manage the settlement process for home loan applications from unconditional approval through to settlement.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing a pipeline of home loan files from approval to settlement
• Preparing and reviewing loan documentation
• Coordinating electronic settlements via PEXA
• Liaising with lenders, brokers, solicitors, and settlement agents
• Completing document verification and quality checks
• Coordinating funding and disbursement requirements
• Providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders
• Ensuring settlements are completed on time and in line with lender requirements
• Maintaining high levels of accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail

About You

• Minimum 2 years' experience in mortgage settlements
• Previous experience using PEXA, managing a pipeline of loan files, and meeting deadlines
• Experience in loan processing or quality checking, highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
