About the company:


Our client is a multinational business and is recognised as a leader in their field. They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Payroll Specialist to join their HR team on a permanent ongoing basis. In this position you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll across Australia and New Zealand while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • End to end processing and payment of Monthly and Fortnightly payrolls for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Checking and approving payroll for other Oceania entities where direct payroll is not processed in house.
  • Processing out of cycle payments and adjustment runs as required.
  • Processing of salary review, bonus payments, award increases, novated lease documentation, allowances and employee details changes.
  • Accurate calculations of Cessation payments and liabilities.
  • Accountable for understanding Time & Attendance System. Data reporting from Time and Attendance system into Excel, reformatting for processing.
  • Maintaining Single Touch Payroll (STP) and Inland Revenue reporting and compliance.
  • Management of awards and employment conditions, including Enterprise Agreement (EA). National Employment Standards (NES) adherence. Award interpretation and compliance.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 + years proven payroll experience
  • Experience with New Zealand - Beneficial but not essential
  • Experience with ADP Payforce - Beneficial but not essential
  • Understanding of Australian payroll laws and tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and confidentiality skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, HR, or a related field (preferred).
