MARS are partnering with a global and high performing company that are looking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to join their growing team. It offers the opportunity to join a fast paced environment and gain experience in a hands-on role covering financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, budgeting and business partnering with senior stakeholders.

The Responsibilities:

• Preparation of general/special purpose annual financial reports
• Monthly P&L and balance sheet variance analysis
• Carrying out balance sheet reconciliations
• Carrying out monthly overhead analysis and providing commentary on actuals vs budget expenditure
• Partnering with divisional leaders for monthly forecasting, quarterly reviews and annual budgeting process
• Reviewing various accounting treatments and preparation of year end disclosures
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, consolidation elimination
• Analysis and reporting of staff utilisation on various projects and tenders
• Preparation and collation of various financial information for tender submissions
• Driving automation and innovation projects

The Requirements:

• Degree educated with a CA or CPA qualification with 5+ years' experience
• Big 4 or Mid-Tier trained with additional commercial experience in a medium-large organisation
• Strong technical accounting skills and AASB/IFRS knowledge
• Intermediate Excel skills and experience using ERP systems
• Strong communication skills and confident dealing with senior stakeholders
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and thrive within a fast paced organisation

• They are based full time in their North Sydney office
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
