Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

A Financial Accountant role responsible for delivering accurate reporting, strong financial control, and compliance across month end and year end processes. You will support statutory reporting, audits, and provide financial insight to assist decision making in a fast paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• * Lead month end and year end close activities including sub ledgers, accruals, prepayments, inventory, and lease accounting
  * Maintain general ledger integrity and complete balance sheet reconciliations
  * Prepare statutory reporting requirements including BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and income tax support
  * Perform intercompany reconciliations on a quarterly basis
  * Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies
  * Support external audit process and liaise with auditors and advisors
  * Provide financial analysis and variance commentary to support business decisions
  * Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  * Contribute to finance system improvements and process efficiency initiatives
  * Support development and maintenance of internal controls and standard procedures

About you

• * Five plus years experience in financial accounting or similar role
• * CA or CPA qualified or equivalent
  * Strong knowledge of IFRS or AASB standards
  * Advanced Excel skills with experience in SAP
  * Strong attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines
  * Experience in medium to large corporate environments preferred
  * Confident communicator with strong stakeholder skills
