The Opportunity

This is a role for a commercially driven professional who wants to make a tangible impact. You will sit at the intersection of financial analysis, commercial strategy, and infrastructure investment driving new business opportunities from identification through to execution and contributing directly to the firm's long-term growth agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, to assess investment opportunities and support business case development.
• Identify and develop new opportunities consistent with our client's commercial, investment, and strategic objectives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with existing and prospective rail customers, assisting them in developing rail-based solutions.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to advance opportunities through investment stage gates from identification to operation.
• Manage in-flight investment projects across the full lifecycle, including the preparation and approval of business case funding submissions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key government agencies, industry bodies, and commercial entities to support our client's business development initiatives.

About You

You bring sharp commercial instincts, advanced financial modelling skills, and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels translating complex analysis into clear, actionable outcomes.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 5 - 8 years' commercial experience, ideally within infrastructure, mining, mining services, agriculture or transport.
• Advanced Excel modelling skills, including dynamic formulas, scenario tools, and model structuring best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to build investment-focused and corporate financial models.
• Experience preparing business cases and funding submissions for capital investment decisions.
• Proven track record managing commercial and strategic projects end-to-end.
• Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or equivalent.
