Senior Accountant | 6M Contract

6M contract with an established organisation, covering month-end, reconciliations and reporting. Must be able to commence between the 1st – 7th June

MARS are partnering with a well-established organisation to hire a Senior Financial Accountant on an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension or permanent conversion. This is an ASAP start role, offering the opportunity to work within a large, high-performing property and hospitality team.

You'll play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, and maintaining strong financial control across multiple entities in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver month-end and year-end close activities across multiple entities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support financial reporting processes, including trial balance reviews, management reporting, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger, including account setup, reconciliations, and reporting hierarchies
  • Assist with external audit requirements by preparing and providing accurate financial data and supporting documentation
  • Review expenditure and asset transactions, supporting capitalisation decisions and fixed asset processes
  • Support revenue recognition, project setup, and compliance with commercial agreements where required
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and strengthening internal controls across finance operations
  • Work within ERP systems to ensure accurate financial data processing and reporting

About You:

  • CPA/CA qualified (or near completion) with 4+ years' experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise, including month-end close, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems (Tech One/Finance One is beneficial)
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience within Property/Hospitality is advantageous.

Additional Information:

  • Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension or permanent conversion.
  • Ideal Start Date: Beginning of June
  • Hybrid working model: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

To Note:

  • Experience in a commercial environment (outside of audit) is essential.
  • Available at less than 1 weeks' notice/able to start at the beginning of June - shorter notice periods will be highly favoured.

  • They operate a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
  • There is paid parking available on-site.
