Senior Accountant

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of a high-volume finance function within a rapidly growing Australian business.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a key role in managing daily financial operations while helping improve systems, reporting and processes across the business.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys pace, accountability and finding better ways of doing things.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Own daily settlements, including allocation and distribution of funds
• Manage trust and bank reconciliations
• Prepare management reporting, cash flow and operational KPIs
• Develop unit costing and support cost efficiency initiatives
• Drive automation and process improvements across finance
• Manage recovery invoicing and accounts receivable
• Oversee accounts payable and payment runs
• Provide financial analysis and operational support to the CFO
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, workflows and reporting
• Work closely with the CFO and wider executive leadership team
  
  

  About You

  To be successful in this role, you will have:
  
• 5+ years' experience across finance operations, trust accounting, banking or high-volume transactional finance
• Strong experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exposure to FP&A and management reporting
• Experience improving or automating finance systems and processes
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Confidence working in a regulated or trust-based environment
• A proactive approach to process improvement
• CA/CPA qualification is desirable but not essential
