Our client is a well-respected healthcare provider located in Melbourne's thriving Western Suburbs. They are currently experiencing significant growth and are seeking a dedicated Revenue Supervisor to join their finance team.
As the Revenue Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the revenue cycle operations, ensuring accurate and timely billing, claims processing, and revenue recognition. You will lead a small team, collaborate with clinical and administrative departments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and organisational policies.
Supervise daily operations of the revenue cycle team including billing, collections, and claims reconciliation.
Monitor and report on revenue performance metrics and trends.
Ensure all billing and coding practices comply with Medicare, health fund, and regulatory requirements.
Investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies, denials, and delayed payments.
Provide training, mentoring, and support to revenue staff to promote continuous improvement.
Collaborate with clinical departments to streamline revenue-related processes and enhance patient billing experience.
Assist with audits, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes related to revenue.
Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Previous experience in a similar revenue, billing, or finance supervisory role within a healthcare setting is essential.
Strong understanding of healthcare billing systems, Medicare, DVA, TAC, WorkCover, and private health fund processes.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
High level of accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and health information systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, iPM, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Certification in Health Information Management or Revenue Cycle Management (desirable).
