Our client is a leading national retailer undertaking a multi-year technology modernisation programme. With a sizeable bricks-and-mortar footprint and a fast-growing e-commerce channel, they are investing heavily in resilient, scalable infrastructure to support future growth.

The Role

This is a 6-month day-rate contract (with a strong view to extend) for a Project Manager to deliver infrastructure projects across a retail environment. You'll work closely with engineers and vendors to coordinate upgrades to switches, firewalls, connectivity and end-user computing environments - with Cisco technologies being a key component across the landscape.

Responsibilities

• Deliver infrastructure upgrade projects from initiation through to handover, across store and head office environments
• Coordinate activities across internal infrastructure teams, third-party vendors and field services partners
• Support rollout of network hardware (especially switches and routers), Wi-Fi upgrades and endpoint refreshes
• Ensure projects align to security and compliance standards, and meet operational readiness requirements
• Maintain strong project documentation - schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and regular reporting
• Engage stakeholders across Technology, Store Operations and Field Services to minimise business disruption during delivery
• Oversee testing and handover to support/BAU teams with clear knowledge transfer

Candidate Experience

• Experience as an IT Project Manager focused on infrastructure delivery
• Strong understanding of network environments - ideally with exposure to switches, routers and Cisco hardware
• Background in managing infrastructure rollouts or tech refreshes across multiple locations (retail highly regarded)
