Lead finance partnering on a landmark, multi-year infrastructure project shaping a major Australian institution.

Play a key role in shaping the future of a highly regarded Australian organisation by partnering on a landmark, multi-year transformation program, on an initial 2-year fixed term contract basis, with the potential to extend.

Sitting within a high-performing Finance function undergoing its own transformation, you'll help set the benchmark for what "best in class" finance partnering looks like.

The Opportunity:

As a Project Finance Business Partner, you will act as the critical link between Finance and a high-profile capital project, providing commercial insight, governance, and strategic guidance to senior stakeholders.

You'll work closely with program leadership and Finance to ensure strong financial oversight, robust decision-making, and alignment with broader organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance and a major transformation project
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders across the program
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes
  • Deliver high-quality analysis and insights to support key decisions
  • Partner with project teams to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure alignment with finance policies, frameworks, and systems
  • Represent Finance in leadership forums and Steering Committees
  • Support business case development and investment governance processes

About You:

  • CA/CPA qualified with 15+ years' experience in finance business partnering or a similar strategic finance role
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders in complex environments
  • Track record of delivering meaningful insights to drive decision-making
  • Knowledge of financial planning systems, reporting tools, and relevant standards/legislation

Why Apply?

  • Be part of a high-impact, multi-year transformation program
  • Work within a forward-thinking Finance function on a transformation journey
  • Exposure to senior leadership and enterprise-level decision-making
  • Great team culture, learning opportunities, and a broad, influential remit.
  • Flexible hybrid work setup of 2-3 days in the office.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence outcomes on a large-scale project while operating at a strategic level, look no further!
