Production Scheduler

Permanent Production Scheduler opportunity with a growing manufacturing business in Melbourne’s south-east.

The Company

Our client is a well-established Australian engineering and manufacturing business supporting major commercial construction and infrastructure projects. Operating from a modern facility in Melbourne's south-east.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a permanent Production Scheduler to join the team in a critical role supporting workshop operations, customer delivery and production planning.

The Role

Based in Melbourne's south-east and reporting to the Factory Manager, this role sits at the centre of the operation and is responsible for coordinating workflow through the workshop, ensuring customer orders are scheduled, prioritised and delivered on time.

Working closely with production staff, customers, freight providers and suppliers, you will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency and ensuring clear communication across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules across the workshop

  • Coordinate workflow and job priorities with the Factory Manager and production team

  • Prepare and manage production documentation and job packs

  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as required

  • Liaise with customers regarding order status, lead times and delivery expectations

  • Coordinate freight and logistics requirements

  • Work with suppliers and external service providers to support production requirements

  • Maintain accurate records and reporting across production activities

  • Assist with general administration and operational coordination activities

Candidate Experience

  • Experience in production scheduling, manufacturing coordination, workshop administration or a similar operational environment

  • Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, construction or industrial environments will be highly regarded
