Product Manager

Our client is a well established, family owned business supplying market leading products and customised solutions to the construction industry.

About the business

Our client is a well established, family owned business supplying market leading products and customised solutions to the construction industry along the eastern seaboard. Operating across all sectors of construction for close to four decades, they supply contractors and sub contractors of all sizes with quality products and round the clock support, backed by strong, long term customer relationships.

About the role

Our client is looking for a Product Manager to own the commercial and technical backbone of their product range: pricing, product data, quality assurance and documentation, all in one seat. Reporting to the National Product Manager, you will keep every product in the range correctly coded, priced, documented and quality assured. You will produce the analysis behind range reviews, rationalisation decisions and new product business cases, and work closely with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, Operations and Finance to get it right.

What you will be doing

  • Owning product codes and system setup in the ERP, from new product creation through to retiring discontinued lines
  • Setting and reviewing pricing, monitoring landed costs and supplier movements, and protecting target margins
  • Analysing sales, margin and stock performance, including monthly slow moving and obsolete stock reporting and quarterly range review packs
  • Building and rolling out a quality assurance process across the range, working with Operations, Engineering and Purchasing
  • Creating and maintaining technical data sheets, manuals, safety data sheets and VOC reports, and coordinating NATA testing and certification
  • Supporting product launches and new product development with data, pricing and documentation readiness

What you will bring

  • Three or more years in product coordination, category analysis, pricing or a similar data driven role
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
  • Experience maintaining product data in an ERP (MYOB Exo or similar)
  • Sharp technical writing skills and a genuine eye for detail
  • Comfort communicating across sales, suppliers and technical teams
  • Willingness to travel interstate and overseas as required

Experience in construction, engineering, building supplies or industrial products is a bonus, as is exposure to ISO 9001 or similar quality systems, TDS/SDS documentation, Power BI, or comparable CRM and WMS platforms.

Why apply

This is a business that lives by a strong set of values, treating its people, customers and sites with integrity, respect and accountability.

If this sounds like your next move, apply now or reach out for a confidential conversation.
