About the roles

Multiple Procurement and Contracts roles are available on a fixed and permanent basis within this large Not-For-Profit. Working in the Corporate Services team, you will have access to strong leadership and be part of a team supporting essential services to Queenslanders.

In this influential role, you'll play a key part in delivering value for money through the design and implementation of best-practice procurement methodologies. You'll lead strategic category and contract management activities, identify commercial opportunities, mitigate risk and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Requirements

The below requirements are a combination across all roles available.

• Develop and implement category and contract strategies that deliver value for money
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives, including panel establishment and standardisation
• Lead and support end-to-end procurement and tender activities, including high-value and complex sourcing
• Analyse demand, utilisation and market dynamics to identify savings, risk and innovation opportunities
• Develop category plans, sourcing strategies and procurement initiatives
• Support the negotiation and execution of commercial contracts
• Manage supplier performance and resolve complex customer and supplier issues
• Partner with key stakeholders to align procurement decisions with business priorities, outcomes and safety
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Maintain category, supplier, contract, spend and performance information to support effective decision-making
• Identify market trends, innovation opportunities and industry developments to inform category strategies
• Promote a customer-focused procurement culture and collaborative business partnering approach

About you

You're a commercially astute and driven procurement professional who thrives in a complex environment and enjoys building trusted partnerships to deliver meaningful outcomes.

You'll bring:

• Demonstrated, tenured experience in procurement, category and contract management within large, complex organisations
• Knowledge of the inner workings of high volume procurement activities
• Strong commercial negotiation, contract development and supplier management skills
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic procurement and category initiatives
• Demonstrated experience managing complex supplier and stakeholder issues and resolving performance concerns
• Strong analytical capability, using e-procurement systems and data to generate meaningful insights
• Experience in strategic sourcing, demand analysis and supplier/category optimisation
• A relevant procurement, commercial or business qualification/certification is desirable
• A collaborative, proactive and commercially focussed approach, with a commitment to integrity and service excellence

A background in retail, manufacturing, or industry where high volume and complex procurement activities are part of the day-to-day would transfer well into these roles.
