The Opportunity
A unique Principal level role with direct influence over major capital decisions. You will lead investment evaluation across significant projects and strategic initiatives with financial rigour and analytical clarity that drives Board-level outcomes. A platform for a mining finance professional to operate at the highest level of corporate decision-making within one of Australia's most prominent companies.
Key responsibilities include:

• The end-to-end development of investment cases from first principles through to Board-ready recommendations
• Build and interrogate sophisticated financial models: NPV, IRR, scenario and sensitivity analysis across complex, multi-variable investment decision
• Distil complex analysis into compelling, executive-level presentations and investment papers
• Partner with technical, commercial, and operational teams to pressure-test assumptions and drive sound investment outcomes

About You
You bring deep investment evaluation expertise, the modelling rigour to build robust business cases from first principles, and the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders through the quality of your thinking.
To be successful you will have:

• Bachelor's degree: Commerce, Economics, Engineering or Business Administration
• 6+ years' experience in a similar business analysis / investment evaluation or advisory role
• Advanced financial modelling capability NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts with clarity to executive and non-financial audiences
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; meticulous attention to detail.
• Mining or resources sector experience preferred; outstanding analytical capability will be considered in lieu of direct sector exposure
