Payroll Specialist
Mars are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a highly regarded organisation based in Sydney CBD. This is an initial 2 month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension and genuine potential for the role to become permanent.
You will take ownership of an established fortnightly payroll of approximately 200 employees, using Micropay, and will be responsible for ensuring the payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and on time.
The Role
Manage the end to end fortnightly payroll for approximately 200 employees
Process new starters, terminations, leave, allowances, deductions and salary changes
Complete payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Manage superannuation, PAYG and other payroll compliance requirements
Respond to employee and stakeholder payroll queries
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
Prepare payroll reports and assist with payroll related administration
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
About You
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist who can step into an established environment and take ownership from day one.
You will ideally have:
Strong end to end payroll experience
Experience managing payroll for approximately 200 employees
Previous experience using Micropay (preferred)
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation
Excellent attention to detail and reconciliation skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to work independently and meet strict payroll deadlines
