MARS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll Team Leader for an initial 3-month contract based in the Perth CBD. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee payroll operations and support a small team to deliver accurate and timely outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end payroll function for a portfolio of approximately 700 employees
• Lead, support, and mentor a team of Payroll Officers
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in line with Australian legislation and multiple awards
• Manage escalations and complex payroll queries
• Partner closely with People & Culture and Finance teams
• Identify and implement process improvements where required

About You

• Proven experience in a Payroll Team Leader / Supervisor role
• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge across Australian payroll legislation and multiple awards
• Experience with payroll systems such as TechOne, PayGlobal, D365 or similar
• Confident managing a team and working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
