About the Role

The Payroll Officer will be an integral part of a small, dedicated team of three, reporting directly to the Payroll & Systems Manager. Supporting the payroll function for Australia and New Zealand, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time across multiple pay cycles (fortnightly). You will work closely with the senior payroll officer and be involved in transitional projects as the company migrates to SAP SuccessFactors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Australia and New Zealand, including fortnightly pay runs
• Support payroll data validation, reconciliation, and system upgrades, including migration to SAP SuccessFactors
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work, modern awards, superannuation, PAYG, and other legislative requirements
• Handle employee pay queries with professionalism and discretion
• Assist with payroll reporting, month-end procedures, and audits
• Contribute to data cleansing projects and system enhancements to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency
• Support onboarding and payroll setup for new employees across various regions and showrooms

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 3-5 years of experience managing Australian and New Zealand payroll processes
• Proven experience with employment systems such as Employment Hero or SAP SuccessFactors
• Solid understanding of Fair Work, modern awards, superannuation, and PAYG obligations
• Experience processing fortnightly payroll cycles
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy skills, and proficiency with Excel
• The ability to work across multiple time zones, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive information professionally
• A positive attitude and a strong desire to be part of a collaborative, growth-oriented team

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to payroll systems like SAP SuccessFactors during migration projects
• Experience with multi-region payroll in SEA, North America, or the UK
• Payroll certification or related qualification
