MARS Recruitment is partnering with a sizeable business to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer for an initial 6-month contract. You'll be responsible for end-to-end payroll across approximately 700 employees, working closely with the wider Finance and People & Culture teams.

• Location: Perth CBD, close to public transport
• Contract: Initial 3-month contract with an immediate start
• Scope: End-to-end payroll for approximately 700 employees across multiple awards

What You'll Be Doing

• Process accurate and timely weekly/fortnightly payroll for approximately 700 employees
• Interpret and apply Australian payroll legislation, enterprise agreements, and multiple awards
• Manage payroll queries and assist employees with payroll-related matters
• Process leave adjustments, terminations, and other payroll changes
• Complete payroll reconciliations and maintain accurate payroll records
• Work closely with Finance and People & Culture to resolve queries and improve processes

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience processing end-to-end payroll in a high-volume environment
• Experience managing payroll for 500+ employees
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax and awards
• Experience with TechOne, PayGlobal, D365 or similar payroll systems
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
