MARS Recruitment is partnering with a respected organisation to recruit a Payroll Officer into an established People &Culture team. You'll join a collaborative payroll function responsible for processing a fortnightly payroll of approximately 2,500 employees, working alongside an experienced payroll professional who values teamwork and accuracy.

Your day-to-day

No two days are exactly the same, but you'll spend your time:

• Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll
• Ensuring payroll is completed accurately and on time
• Managing reconciliations and payroll adjustments
• Responding to employee payroll enquiries
• Interpreting Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
• Processing complex payroll transactions including:
• Long Service Leave
• Terminations
• Redundancies
• Workers Compensation
• Salary Packaging
• Novated Leases
• Working closely with HR to deliver a positive employee experience
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys payroll and takes pride in delivering an accurate, compliant payroll every time.

You'll ideally have:

• 5+ years' end-to-end payroll experience
• Experience processing high-volume payrolls
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
• Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A collaborative approach and strong customer service skills
