About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a high-performing finance team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll, supporting a large and dynamic workforce.

You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation while delivering a high level of service to internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end payroll processing across weekly/fortnightly/monthly cycles
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new starters, terminations, and changes
  • Interpret and apply relevant awards, EBAs, and legislation
  • Manage payroll queries and provide timely resolutions to employees and stakeholders
  • Reconcile payroll reports, including superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and reporting requirements
  • Work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy
  • Support audits and assist with payroll process improvements


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
  • Strong understanding of Time & Attendance systems
  • Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with large ERP/payroll systems (e.g. SAP, Chris21, Preceda, or similar) is advantageous
Salary
AU$80000 - AU$90000 per annum + Super
