Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our client, a respected multinational organisation. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely end-to-end processing of payroll for employees across Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of local payroll legislation and award interpretation, and be confident handling high-volume, complex payrolls within a dynamic business environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of payroll for Australian and New Zealand employees in accordance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies

  • Ensure compliance with local tax, superannuation/KiwiSaver, and other statutory obligations

  • Prepare and reconcile payroll reports including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (e.g., PAYG, STP, EOFY, IRD submissions)

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity

  • Resolve employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth integration of employee data and reporting

  • Support audits, reporting, and compliance processes as required

  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation across AU and NZ

  • Assist with continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems


Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of payroll processing experience across Australia (NZ experience highly desirable)

  • Proficiency with payroll system ADP - Beneficial

  • Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation and statutory obligations

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Salary
AU$85000 - AU$90000 per annum + + Super
