A Financial Services organisation is looking for a temporary Payroll Officer with experience using NetSuite.
MARS has partnered with a leading financial services organisation seeking a Payroll Officer for a temporary ongoing role. This position will be responsible for processing payroll, providing accurate payroll insights, interpreting policies, and ensuring legislative compliance, delivering high-quality, consistent, and efficient payroll support.
The Responsibilities:
Process monthly payroll for 650 employees.
Reconcile and process month-end journals, ensuring accurate and timely calculation and payment of payroll liabilities, including PAYG tax, payroll tax, superannuation contributions, and employee deductions.
Complete end-of-year payroll reconciliations for group tax, payroll tax, and other obligations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Calculate and process termination and severance payments as required.
Provide support to employees on payroll-related queries, including pay issues, personal detail updates, and use of the self-service portal.
Stay up to date with legislative changes relating to tax, superannuation, and employment law.
The Requirements:
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Must have experience with and be proficient with MS Excel and Netsuite.
Experience in a hands-on role with high levels of attention to detail.
