Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a commercially minded Marketing Manager who enjoys figuring out what makes a business tick.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced marketer who likes data, digital, local markets and working directly with business leaders.

You'll look after marketing across a portfolio of individual practices, partnering closely with Practice Owners to understand their objectives, their customers and their competitive environment. You'll then turn those insights into practical marketing activity that drives results.

You'll be supported by a central campaign team, so you won't be responsible for producing every campaign or managing every channel yourself. Instead, you'll be the person who understands what each individual business needs, identifies the opportunities and makes sure marketing activity is delivering.

What you'll be doing

  • Partnering directly with Practice Owners and managers to understand their commercial priorities and local markets.
  • Using performance data to identify where there are opportunities to improve customer acquisition and conversion.
  • Reviewing Google Ads performance and working with digital specialists to improve results.
  • Assessing websites, landing pages and online customer journeys and recommending improvements.
  • Developing marketing approaches that reflect the characteristics of each local market.
  • Helping businesses articulate what makes them different and translating that into compelling content and messaging.
  • Identifying opportunities across SEO, content, local marketing, partnerships and digital.
  • Working with the central campaign team to ensure broader marketing activity is relevant and effective at a local level.
  • Using testing and experimentation to understand what resonates with customers.
  • Monitoring performance across your portfolio and deciding where additional focus or investment is required.
  • Presenting insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Managing and supporting a Marketing Assistant.

You'll ideally bring:

  • 7+ years' marketing experience.
  • Strong digital marketing knowledge, particularly Google Ads, SEO, websites and CRM.
  • A genuine interest in data and performance. You like looking at the numbers yourself rather than relying solely on someone else's analysis.
  • Experience working with local markets, multiple locations, franchises, networks or other decentralised businesses would be highly regarded.
  • The ability to understand a business quickly and explain its proposition in a way that connects with its target audience.
  • Excellent commercial judgement and an instinct for finding opportunities.
  • Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Experience with testing, optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading or developing a junior team member.
  • A willingness to embrace AI and new technology as part of modern marketing.

The type of person who will thrive here

  • You're curious. You ask questions.
  • You don't just look at whether a campaign worked, you want to understand why.
  • You enjoy getting into the detail, spotting something others have missed and turning an insight into an action.
  • You're comfortable walking into a business, talking to the people running it, understanding the local market and forming your own view about what needs to change.
  • You don't need to be told what to do every step of the way, and you're comfortable challenging a stakeholder when the evidence points in a different direction.
  • Most importantly, you care about outcomes rather than simply delivering marketing activity.

What's on offer

  • A senior marketing position with significant autonomy.
  • Direct exposure to senior business stakeholders.
  • The opportunity to influence the performance of a large portfolio of individual businesses.
  • Support from a specialist central campaign and digital team.
  • A collaborative team environment.
  • Hybrid working
  • The opportunity to join a growing national organisation and make a visible commercial impact.

If you're a data-driven marketer who enjoys local markets, digital performance and working closely with business owners, we'd like to hear from you.
