MARS are seeking a Mandarin-speaking IT Project Manager to join a globally recognised organisation based in Sydney's CBD. This role is ideal for someone who has recently moved from a hands-on IT engineering or application support role into project delivery and is now looking to expand their impact in a structured, cross-functional environment.

You'll work closely with internal departments and offshore teams to manage IT system updates, lead small-scale projects, and ensure smooth delivery across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate internal IT projects, with a focus on system updates and enhancements
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather requirements and ensure delivery aligns with business needs
  • Troubleshoot and manage application issues, coordinate with external service providers and global teams
  • Write clear technical documentation and reports to support project tracking and stakeholder visibility
  • Support infrastructure and application activities, including batch processing and development environments
  • Communicate confidently with local and offshore teams, including senior stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (essential for internal and offshore communication)
  • Minimum 2 years of development or application support experience, with at least 2 years in project management or business analysis (ideally within a financial institution)
  • Degree-qualified in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, PowerShell, FTP, and scripting
  • Strong database knowledge - Oracle, SQL Server, SSIS
  • Familiarity with key applications and tools - MS Office, Web Servers, JIRA
  • Understanding of banking operations and workflows
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
  • Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship is required
Salary
AU$80000 - AU$100000 per annum + + super & benefits
