The Opportunity

Our client wishes to appoint an Investment Banking Analyst or Associate to their leading M&A advisory team. You will play an integral role supporting senior bankers with the management and execution of deals utilising a range of M&A products. Headed up by a reputable leader with a strong network of industry connections, you will be part of a lean team yet enjoy valuable exposure to all aspects of the transaction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Proactively map potential targets, clients and develop close relationships
• Interactions with senior stakeholders in the context of deal execution
• Financial modelling for valuation analysis
• Co-ordination of due diligence processes
• Preparation of client materials (e.g. information memorandums and prospectus documents)

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be:

• Top academic records with a Bachelor's Degree; Commerce, Business, Economics and / or Engineering
• Related post graduate qualification (or studying towards) CA, CFA and / or Master of Applied Finance
• Min. 2 years' experience in a similar Investment Bank, Boutique, or Big4 M&A, Valuations team
• Analytically minded with strong financial modelling capabilities
• Strong knowledge and understanding (interest) of the mining industry.
