A retail brand is seeking an HRBP with experience in a blue collar environment to join a large retail distribution centre based in Truganina.

This person will have extensive experience in Employee Relations. This is suited to someone who thrives in industrial and unionised workplaces and enjoys operating autonomously while influencing across all levels of a business.

Reporting into the Senior People & Culture Manager, this role will see you managing one direct report and partnering closely with operational leaders across a busy distribution centre environment supporting approximately 150 permanent employees, plus an additional 150 labour hire staff.

This is a broad and commercially focused role where no two days are the same. You will play a key role across employee relations, industrial relations, stakeholder management, coaching leaders, and driving strategic people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice across employee and industrial relations matters
  • Manage EBA interpretation, disputes, grievances, and case management
  • Support leaders with performance management, investigations, and complex ER matters
  • Partner with operational stakeholders across a unionised industrial site
  • Coach and influence leaders at varying levels of the business
  • Contribute to strategic HR initiatives and broader business objectives
  • Lead with confidence in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience within a distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of unionised workplaces, EBAs, awards, and industrial legislation
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters
  • Confidence working autonomously and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • A proactive, resilient, and career-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A strong work ethic and ability to thrive during peak operational periods
  • A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
