Partner with leaders across key business divisions in a genuine generalist HR Advisor role.

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to partner closely with leaders in a commercially focused retail business? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation with an outstanding reputation, working within a collaborative People & Culture team where you'll have the autonomy to influence, coach and support leaders across the business.

Reporting to a highly regarded and supportive People Leader based in Sydney, you'll step into a true generalist HR Advisor role with exposure typically found in an HR Business Partner position.

The Opportunity

As the HR Advisor, you will partner with leaders across the Wholesale, Sales & Marketing and Customer Service divisions, providing trusted advice on a broad range of people matters. You'll build strong stakeholder relationships while supporting managers through the employee lifecycle and contributing to a positive, high-performing culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with leaders to provide proactive HR advice and coaching.

  • Managing employee relations matters and providing guidance on employment legislation, policies and procedures.

  • Supporting performance management, employee engagement and organisational initiatives.

  • Assisting with payroll processes and ensuring employee data is accurate.

  • Working collaboratively with the wider People & Culture team, including HR Systems, Talent Acquisition and Retail HR.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and programs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role.

  • Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Solid employee relations knowledge and experience providing practical HR advice.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • A collaborative, professional and confident approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What's on Offer?

  • 12-month maternity leave contract with a respected national business.

  • Hybrid working arrangement with work from home on Mondays and Fridays.

  • Flexible meeting culture that genuinely supports wellbeing.

  • Two additional wellbeing days each year.

  • Supportive leadership with regular coaching, mentoring and professional development.

  • A collaborative and high-performing People & Culture team with strong internal partnerships.

  • The opportunity to make a genuine impact within a business that has an exciting future.

If you're a proactive HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, building relationships and making a meaningful contribution to people outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.

At Mars, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
