A rare senior leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced Head of Procurement to join a highly respected WA organisation. This is an urgent requirement offered initially as a 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension or even permanency for the right individual.

As the Head of Procurement, you will lead the organisation's end-to-end procurement function, champion best-practice governance, and drive strategic commercial outcomes during a period of change. You will provide high-level leadership across sourcing, category strategy, supplier performance, and commercial risk, while uplifting capability across the procurement team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the procurement function, ensuring robust governance, strong commercial outcomes, and alignment with organisational priorities.
• Lead, mentor and develop a procurement team of 4
• Deliver value-driven procurement outcomes through commercial rigour, market analysis and supplier optimisation
• Build strong relationships with executive and operational stakeholders to support organisational objectives and uplift procurement maturity
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, frameworks, and systems
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and organisational risk requirements

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a senior procurement leadership role
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to partner confidently at an executive level
• High commercial acumen with the ability to analyse markets, optimise value, and manage risk
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Law, or related discipline will be highly regarded
