Group Finance Manager | Financial Services

Join a rapidly growing SME in the F.S space with exposure to financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting and a system implementation

MARS Recruitment are working exclusively with a dynamic and fast-growing SME within the financial services industry, to recruit a talented Group Finance Manager.

As the 2 I/C to the Group Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the group finance function and driving strategic growth. This is a newly created role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast paced, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the group.
  • Drive pricing optimisation by enhancing internal processes and frameworks to analyse and optimise product and fund pricing.
  • Support and influence group-wide initiatives to improve efficiency, financial control, and business growth.
  • Maintain key reporting deadlines and ensure compliance with internal Finance Process Guides.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide proactive finance support and help customers achieve their financial objectives.
  • Spearhead the implementation of Xero across the group, embedding scalable processes and ensuring smooth adoption.
  • Oversee and manage the offshore finance operations team, ensuring daily settlements, and reconciliations are accurate and compliant.

About You:

  • CA or CPA qualified with 7+ years' experience, ideally starting in a chartered firm in a Business Services or Audit function.
  • Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and financial planning skills.
  • Experience in financial services or non-bank lending is preferred, but high-performing candidates from business services or commercial finance backgrounds will be considered.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to thrive in a small, fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Confident managing teams remotely, optimising processes, and implementing systems.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to influence and build strong relationships across the business.

To Note:

  • Experience in a bank, non-bank lender or financial services is preferred but not essential.
  • Individuals from a business advisory/services firm are encouraged to apply.
  • They operate a hybrid work model of 2-3 days in their CBD office.
  • Must be a Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold long term working rights in Australia.
