An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead a high-performing finance team and oversee the delivery of financial reporting and governance requirements across a complex group structure. The role is responsible for managing month-end close processes, reconciliations, audits, statutory reporting, and technical accounting matters. You'll also play a key part in enhancing financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks while driving continuous improvement across the function. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and internal policies.
Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and other financial reporting deliverables.
Manage group and local audit engagements from planning through to resolution of management letter matters.
Ensure timely completion of account reconciliations and other key control activities.
Prepare accounting position papers, policies, and procedures to support consistent financial treatment.
Maintain fixed asset and intangible asset registers in line with accounting standards.
Coordinate the completion of regulatory surveys and ad-hoc reporting requests.
Review and refine financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
Support system improvements and process optimisation initiatives to strengthen governance and efficiency.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial accountants, fostering professional growth and engagement.
Oversee recruitment, performance management, and team resourcing.
Set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and promote accountability.

Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CA or CPA qualification
8+ years' relevant experience in financial reporting, audit, or similar functions.
Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams.
Exposure to large or multinational organisational environments.
Experience within the energy, infrastructure, or complex asset-based industries (advantageous).
Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing systems, processes, and controls.
